The booklet covers the history of Wistanswick from Roman and Saxon times up to the present day and the changes to the rural way of life over the years. It looks into the the details of the older houses and the sporting, social amenities and shops. Mention is made of longstanding familes of Wistanswick and the surrounding area such as GOODALL, MANNING, MILLINGTON, WADHAMS, WILD and WORSEY

....the population of the village, although fluctuating, has grown grown overall as records show:

 

188 people in 1821, 200 people in......
